Can I view a watch?

We're an online business (which is why our prices tend to be so competitive) so we don't regularly offer physical viewings. All our watches come with 14 days return with insured next day shipping. We can also do digital viewings if you'd like to see a watch in action. Send us an email on support@subdial.co and we'll be happy to set up a time.

We price our watches very competitively from the get-go and sell them quickly. Sometimes there is a little bit of wiggle-room in the price but generally we expect to sell at list price.

We started Subdial in 2017 with the aim to create a simpler and more transparent way to buy and sell watches. We're a registered business with a large full-time office in Islington, London. The best place to find out more about our business is through Trustpilot, where you will find independent reviews from our customers. We're a registered UK business and have been approved by the FCA.

Carriers

For the majority of our shipments we use the DHL Express service. This offers next day delivery within the UK and delivery typically within a few working days in the rest of the world.

For some high value shipments we may use other specialist shipping providers.

||| Please note: as a result of the Brexit transition there are currently some customs delays for shipments arriving into the EU. Please check your local VAT requirements for any purchases being shipped into the EU as your may be liable to pay local VAT on the purchase.

Insurance

Unless otherwise stated all shipments from Subdial are fully insured. We film all watches on arrival and departure to ensure they are in top condition before being securely shipped. For shipments on their way to us we provide shipping labels and tamperproof bags to keep the watch safe in transit.

Tracking

All our shipments are tracked and you will receive a tracking link from us (and often the shipping provider too). If you do have any questions or problems with your shipment do not hesitate to reach out to us

Selling a watch

Selling a watch with Subdial

We offer two ways to sell your watch, depending on your preference for speed or maximising your payout.

Option 1: Direct sale

We buy your watch directly, with cash typically paid into your account within 48 hours.

Step 1 - Insured collection

Pick a day and we'll arrange collection. You'll receive a shipping label and tamperproof bag in advance, just box everything up ready to go

Step 2 - We check your watch in our workshop

We'll let you know as soon as your watch arrives with us. From there it's straight into the workshop for a full inspection to make sure everything is in order.

Step 3 - We pay you

As soon as the workshop have approved your watch we'll make payment. Typically the whole process from receiving the watch takes less than 48 hours.

Option 2: Commission sale

We sell your watch to achieve a higher price for you. You can track the whole process in real time through our platform My Subdial

Step 1 - Insured collection

Can I reserve a watch?

We can't reserve watches for long periods of time. Our watches sell very quickly and this is why we can offer such competitive prices. We're happy to reserve a watch for 24 hours pending payment, let us know if you need to do this and we'll be happy to help. Unless explicitly stated watches will remain on the market and could sell to another buyer at any time.
